I would like to get a Sauteuse for home, and have bin looking a different brands. I’ve come across a brand called Spring and a sauteuse in there “brigade premium”
Its a bit cheaper then de buyer or demeyere, but should still be descent quality. Its 5 clad.
Anyone knows the brand and can share there impression?
I will use it on induction. So first hand knowledge on how it works on induction would be appreciated
I had some Spring cookware in the past, bought purely on looks - matte stainless steel with black accents. It was my first foray into ‘quality’ cookware. Not sure what line it was. It was good, not great.
If I click the link in your post it suggests the sauteuse has 1.5mm of aluminum in the base. I’d say that is a little low. Not sure to what extent budget is a limiting factor, but I’d suggest also looking into Lagostina Lagofusion.
The reason I looked at it, is that the price is not too high. I’m not sure how much I will actually use it. And don’t wanna spend more then I have to. But still want something that can last.
I will look into the lagostina. I already have a 28 cm pan and a 26 cm sautepan in that line. Great stuff, but not the fastest reacting.
I think Spring is not the Spring of Switzerland many of us remember… is is now German and part of the Kuchen Profi group. Products may now be outsourced. But I’ve not tried it. Interesting that they still carry the Culinox mark – but with only 0.5 mm of copper in an outer layer. Wonder if the rest is aluminum. For fully clad, Mauviel M’Cook has a curved splayed sauteuse as well.
