Savory not-graham cracker crust?

Is there a savory version of graham cracker crust?
Which cracker/breadcrumbs to use? Butter is fine, but would the lack of sugar make it weak, not stick together?

If I’m following your question, alternatives like crushed pretzels, corn flakes, buttery crackers, plain or seasoned breadcrumbs plus melted butter should hold once added to a baking dish and baked in the oven. The ratio melted butter to crumb matters.

Blitzing some Town House crackers in the food processor and adding some melted butter should work.

You could add some grated cheese for binding if you’re worried. Ritz, townhouse, or similar should work.

You could also try a press-in flour crust instead of crackers – pretty easy (and no crushing crackers required, just flour and a fork).

It might help if you say what you want to use as a filling or what you intend to use the crust for. :slightly_smiling_face:
