I have dried lentils at home and found this one instead of canned lentils. Very similar, just a longer cooking time for the lentils. I do like the idea of caramelized shallots.

I didn’t know there was such a thing as canned lentils. A time saver for some?

Yes you can buy canned lentils but the cooking time on dried lentils is so short I don’t bother buying the canned ones.

I like to sous-vide poach salmon to 120F. It stays flaky and tender. I have it with ramen and veggies about once a week. Tonight, in a pork broth with fish sauce, garlic, and black pepper:

And unrelated to rice, this recipe from Ree Drummond is super easy and amazing - you toss cubes of salmon in curry powder, roast them until they get slightly crunchy (the curry powder kind of browns), and then serve with brussels sprouts cooked in a really nice sauce:

Thank you.

A Japanese salmon rice bowl is what I was craving. I ended up making a salmon casserole with mushrooms and sherry tonight lol. better fit for my DC.

I crave that basically every single day! Actually making ikura don for dinner tomorrow, with salmon sashimi. Already excited…and I just finished dinner tonight.
