I forget why I bought it, but it’s become one of the most used tools we have. I really enjoy not having to wash up measuring spoons or cups (although we still use them from time to time).
I like a bit more oil - it just may be that the vinegar I’m using is particularly tart. If I use lemon juice, I just oil the salad up, squeeze on the lemon juice, and re-toss. I’m hopeless, but it hits the spot.
Entrée salad. Little gems, red cabbage, green onion, cofftc, gbs, cherry tomatoes from the garden, avocado, roasted chicken thigh. aji verde ranch dressing. Toasted baguette.
Insalata Mista from Carolina Restaurant in Toronto. It includes radicchio, lettuce, onion, cucumbers, blueberries and goat cheese.
Carrot with tahini crème fraiche and mojo rojo at Martine’s in Toronto
Garden salad with my sandwich at Completo in Toronto
Pasta salad with spinach, red and green peppers, black olives, shallots, parmesan cheese, and pine-nuts. A standard 3:1 vinaigrette over all.
Broccoli/Raisin/Bacon/Cashew/Water chestnuts salad with a mayo/sugar/cider vinegar dressing. This summer potluck favorite was missing from my summer menus, so I made just in time for “real” Fall temperature arrival. Still great. The recipe says “add dressing just before serving” and “best eaten same day made”. It makes a huge batch and somehow it was only this time I realized I can store salad/dressing separately and dress only what we’ll eat in one day. (Forehead slap).
Last nasturtium salad of the year.
Homegrown lettuce
Homegrown tomatoes
Feta
Homegrown Nasturtium flowers
Very pretty!
I always feel weird eating flowers, but that looks lovely. Cool on all the homegrown ingredients too.
Baby spinach in a raspberry vinaigrette, with a nice Reyes Point blue cheese, walnuts, and fresh berries.
winner! That!!
Double protein dinner salad.
Romaine, boiled egg, Italian tuna, tomatoes, olives, cucumber, pickled onions and Parm \Regg.

Take-out Cobb from Mandy’s ($19 CAD , 550 grams, can you tell who is calorie counting again?)
Not bad but a little unusual, in that the salad contains the usual egg, bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato, but also includes raw mushrooms and pita chips, but no chicken or blue cheese. The green goddess is also unconventional.
Pretty good value.
I initially took half for lunch, which is plated below, 300 g. lol.
