My friend loves the French toast at Bonjour Brioche in Leslieville.
(As PedroPero knows, I am not a fan of any French toast. LOL)

Birthday cake from Amadeus hazelnut crunch as the birthday person wanted dairy free. Went well and even the filling was ok I could barely feel the oil that was used to achieve that effect.
Picked up a queen Amman from Castle and coal as slim pickings today. Filled with dulce de leches I wasn’t keen on it let’s see how it plays out
Kougin Amman went well and while I am partial towards the plain version somehow this batch felt a lot better as the sugar was caramelized between layers which is how I remember it.
Also passed by eataly Yorkville today to check out their promos. The pistachio Amaretti looked very enticing hmmm should have picked up fresh made one’s when I was in near Forno Cultura recently
Saw a few more interesting items at eataly Yorkville for promo to get the dessert fix. Panattone half off in some cases
Two new items at le Cafe four seasons. Blood orange pain Suisse looks tempting let’s see might pickup
Hmmm passed by eataly Yorkville as well. The hazelnut tart looks tempting with a few guests arriving this week might try and pick it up
Today was a pleasant visit to Flippers to get a pancake fix (usually done at home) I had the mix fruit version today and noticed a bunch of savory items as the pancakes are great as usual even though they come with maple infused whip cream I decided to do the add of maple syrup as well.
Decided to try Cafe x Bica nearby today. Setup is very nice. Hmmm other than Orange Cake other items didn’t entice. Good stuff. I have a good espresso setup at home so seldom have coffee drinks outside this cappuccino was decent as well.
Picked this blood orange pain Suisse from le Cafe at four seasons
Should be good though will share feedback.
Also Raku has been offering desserts by Enid Lam though my last attempt to try them have been futile as they were sold out this week. Any feedback on Enid?
The Yuzu Lemon Meringue Tart looks pretty good
Also spotted few new items at le Cafe four seasons
Attack by sweet tooth whilst watching TV at night?..This absolutely divine Ferraro-Rocher dark chocolate ice lolly-pop should fix it …available at ‘Yummy market’. A touch pricey but one of the best in the market and worth every penny!
Reporting back on the blood orange pain Suisse. Oh it’s very good with a nice buttery and flaky exterior and with nice contrast in the filling to balance things out.
So impressed was I with the blood orange pain Suisse that picked it up again. Also tried the cookie. Hmmm I am not a fan of cookies in general this is ok (Earlgrey and lemon) I prefer the matcha one from neo Cafe
A delivery from brodflour as the go to bakery was a no go. In addition to bread ordered a cardamom knot, chocolate chip cookie and blueberry muffin.
Hmmm didn’t enjoy muffin (serviceable as “healthy” I guess) and knot (not for me at all as overwhelming with sugar and cardamom which is what some might crave) didn’t get to try the cookie
Finally got around to trying the dessert from Enid Lamm from Raku via delivery app
Yuzu Lemon Meringue Tart was today’s choice.
Very good and not overly sweet. I enjoyed the meringue as well.
Pricey but worth it IMO I will try again and sample other stuff attaching pic for the menu as well. They do sell out apparently so rec ordering before prime time evening
