Recommended Desserts Toronto & GTA

My most favorite ’ Apple ’ dessert in town!

" Claire " from DUO Patisserie…never gets tired eating it!

Almond shortbread crust, filled with honey crisp apples cooked in vanilla & calvadose, yuzu whipped ganache, yuzu ganache, and yuzu cremeux

Passed by newish le Cafe at the four seasons. Good stuff folks. Picked up rhubarb pain as friend visiting is a big fan. I would say better than Laduree’! For VIENNOISERIE. Will visit again

Wow! Such refined looking! :yum: :+1: :ok_hand:

A quick return trip to Le Cafe at for seasons initially led to a confusion as they have moved. The seating area was quite busy so did another grab and go for the rhubarb. This box of 6 for 30$(probably tax exempt as well and for reference most of the items are 6$ a pop)looked tempting especially if they let you pick and choose. Will keep in mind for the next gathering. Cookies looked decent though I am not much of a cookie eater and other than the matcha one’s from neo Cafe don’t enjoy them at all.

Well chosen name - ’ EXPLOSIVE, super powerful and concentrated chocolate dessert '!
Perfectly balanced in taste, multiple contrasting textured layer components and not overly sweet!..worthy of being a long-standing favourite!

Another pickup from le Cafe at 4 seasons.
Rhubarb+coffee cream. Will report back.
@THECHARLES recommended Duo to a visitor. I am sure they will enjoy it.

I’ll be in Toronto all week next week, so trolling this item for desserts to track down. Looks like the Four Seasons is quite a ways away from where I’ll be (splitting time between Enercare center and the Marriott Residence Inn.) Bummer!

Man!! The craftsmanship of those looks unreal! So refined looking!
I have to ask my daughter to drop by and pick me up a bunch when she next comes to visit us!! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :yum:
BTW, will there be anything left after lunch?..and do they by chance offer any ‘apple’ products?
Cheers

I guess enticing you with the desserts is fair play @THECHARLES as I haven’t been in Thornhill area for year or two to try duo patisserie. Le Cafe seem to have a steady supply so I don’t think you will have issues but they do close early (3 pm). They don’t have any variety so far either so the first few pics I posted of them pretty much covers it in terms of what they offer. Also box of 6 gets a slight promo and no tax I recall

@mig a lot of options on that side of the city as well. Castle & coal, forno cultura right of the bat. Patisserie 27 has some unique offerings and their croissant is unlike other in the city (very dense). Nadege and nugateau could do the trick as well (more of crowd pleasers imo) otherwise you can always have one of the delivery apps bring items to your door. Not sure how far you want to travel as one can spend over an hour within the city just getting point A to B. Some options on ossington as well.

I’ll settle for ALL the chocolate options they have to offer!! :yum: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Well, @THECHARLES they were out of the C4 at Duo, so I made do with a chocolate tart that I’ll enjoy later. The Big J and I also bought a creme brûlée éclair, a strawberry rhubarb tart and another lemon bichon. So good!

Oops! Sorry to hear that! Better luck next time?! :disappointed:
Since you were already in the area, did you try their cafe/shop on Leslie just south of 16th Ave?! They might have it there?!
BTW, other chocolate desserts like ’ Hazel ’ or ’ Rockee ’ are mighty fine too!..both use French Valrhona chocolates.
