Ajinomoto Food Products North America had a VERY large recall of multiple products back in mid-February due to potential contamination with glass, and has just expanded to include Trader Joe’s-branded frozen fried rice products.
This expansion includes 16 products produced between October 21, 2024, and February 26, 2026, under brand names Ajinomoto, Kroger, Ling Ling, Tai Pei, and Trader Joe’s. These products have best-by dates ranging from February 28, 2026, through August 19, 2027.
Now Trader Joe’s-branded frozen rice products are being voluntarily recalled due to potential contamination from glass, including their Chicken Fried Rice, Vegetable Fried Rice, Japanese Style Fried Rice and Chicken Shu Mai products.
