I initially read that as 2 TUBS a day. That’d be a LOT of chia seeds!
yikes
Ajinomoto Food Products North America had a VERY large recall of multiple products back in mid-February due to potential contamination with glass, and has just expanded to include Trader Joe’s-branded frozen fried rice products.
This expansion includes 16 products produced between October 21, 2024, and February 26, 2026, under brand names Ajinomoto, Kroger, Ling Ling, Tai Pei, and Trader Joe’s. These products have best-by dates ranging from February 28, 2026, through August 19, 2027.
Now Trader Joe’s-branded frozen rice products are being voluntarily recalled due to potential contamination from glass, including their Chicken Fried Rice, Vegetable Fried Rice, Japanese Style Fried Rice and Chicken Shu Mai products.
Very extensive product list link in the link below.
Phew! Glad we did’t get any of the Japanese fried rice last time we were there, bc we almost did!
I’m curious as to how TJ’s VEGETABLE Fried Rice got into this. I clicked on the article and the listing by name and the listing by package photo only show the Chicken fried rice. There’s a veg one in my freezer so I’m a bit anxious.
It’s listed on the Trader Joe’s website.
Thanks. My Best By date is past their latest one. ![]()
I think they are voluntarily recalling all four that I listed, even though the USDA has only listed the Chicken one. Shpuld have linked TJs site. Thx, @MrGuyGuyGuy.
For those that don’t have a CNN subscription (me):
TF is “raw” cheddar cheese? Isn’t ALL cheddar cheese raw? ![]()
Well, never said those in government were in any way smart.
At least the CNN headline is more appropriate where they specify “raw milk” is the culprit.
And The Guardian in the U.K. has it right as well.
The article says the cheese was made with raw milk so the issue might be that the milk isn’t pasteurized.
Ah, that makes sense! I’m a huge fan of raw milk cheeses but prefer to buy them in Germany, where food safety and regulations are far more trustworthy than here.
An issue with certain Frigidaire ranges increases the risk of burns, a recall notice posted Thursday said.
Well, it’s an oven, so…
