NJ Food News

Just saw this (and my first thought was that @joonjoon and @NotJrvedivici can do some SERIOUS damage…):

McDonald’s is giving its customers a deal on one of its most popular breakfast sandwiches for one day only.

On Thursday, the fast-food chain will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Egg McMuffin by selling it on its mobile app for just 63 cents.

The 63-cent Egg McMuffin will only be available during breakfast hours until 10:30 a.m, according to McDonald’s. Prices and add-ons for custom-made sandwiches also vary.

Think someone mentioned it was coming…but now it is open! 36 in the Best Buy plaza. Busy store that has everything any wino could need. They are printing money over there.

Had to pick something up at Best Buy today. Was gonna run in and check it out. But it was PACKED. Took a pass. Given how shitty the places are they compete with nearby, I see tr doing quite well

Got the mailers today. Headed to new Orleans in three weeks so may have to wait until we come back before hitting it up. Love the other ones I have been to, and sadly out of the delivery zone

Just saw this via a BellWorks newsletter:
Our team is incredibly excited to announce that Corbo & Sons: Osteria in Shrewsbury will be opening within the next few weeks! While we fine tune the finishing touches, we are looking for a few additional talented, hospitality-driven individuals to join the crew!

Speaking of signs going up, I spotted a second Pancho sign today at the corner of 34 & 537. Same plaza as the old Colts Nick Perkins (now something else) and Gianni’s. Don’t know if it’s still coming soon or open I just noticed the sign in passing.

Looking forward to this spot. Hope they don’t price it too crazy. But pizza in the spot in bell is very good the few times I’ve had it.

Never been to Bell Works but I thought I read the same group bought a piece of Ft Monmouth so we will see what’s up with that move.

I feel like it should be mandatory for every Monmouth County resident to go inside BellWorks at least once! Is it truly phenomenal building. Stop in!

Been there, done that–I worked in the Bell Works building back when it was Bell Labs. In fact, I worked there from before they added the extensions on both ends. I started there in 1978 and retired from there in 2001, with a couple of breaks when I worked in the Lincroft building (now defunct, and replaced by condos) and the Middletown building (now expanded and entirely AT&T). Yes, it is amazing.

BellWorks is super cool. It has been awesome to bring a ball or frisbee to toss around on cold or rainy days. Plenty of space to run around!

I’d love to see an actual sit down restaurant open there. Right now it is a lot of fast options.

We got takeout from here tonight. Everything was awesome. Each meal comes with two sides. We got brisket and pulled pork. Sides of brussel sprouts, Mac and cheese, coleslaw and baked beans. Can’t wait to try their ribs!
