Noooo! Pork roll for life! (but also, how cool for Tick Tock!)
Mick is learning.
Jagger says ‘pork roll’ at Rolling Stones’ 2nd N.J. concert. Whose side are you on, Mick?
Yessss Mick!
Salsa Latina on Rt 34 in Matawan has closed
Some of these look pretty tasty
This makes me so sad!
If anyone wants to take a ride to Hammonton…
Fwiw, I did call Pete G out on Twitter because he was ‘reviewing’ Dole Whip. I LOVE that stuff, but why try packaged flavors instead of house-made??
NJ Monthly is reporting that Cross and Orange In Asbury Park is having an all you can eat shrimp boil this Saturday August 24th. Calling @corvette_johnny
All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp Boil in Asbury Park
Saturday, August 24, noon–3pm
If you haven’t had your fill of summer seafood yet, Saturday’s a chance for one-stop redemption. Downtown Asbury Park’s own Cross & Orange is hosting a classic all-you-can-eat shrimp boil at Kennedy Park, located just adjacent to the restaurant. For those unfamiliar with the logistics of a shrimp boil, imagine a significant quantity of boiled, seasoned shrimp piled high on picnic tables (typically) along with segments of corn on the cob and boiled potatoes. Service is typically hands-on, as in serve yourself, peel-your-own, etc., so you can leave the suit jacket and high heels at home. There will be (as yet unspecified) drinks and music; tickets are $35 plus handling (as in transaction fee, not shrimp handling). Kennedy Park , 104 Grand Avenue, Asbury Park; 732-361-5502
Interesting. I’m actually sorry I won’t be here, as this sounds fun, and I’d like to think they can’t screw up a shrimp boil.
C&O is one of those restaurants I never go to here; after two awful service experiences and completely uninspiring food, I’ve not been there in a few years. I honestly don’t know how they keep the place open, especially since it’s prime (and large) real estate. But as I always say, Olive Garden is still going…
I enjoyed Ivan & Andie’s when they were in the space. I’ve had the same experience with C&O as you (and many) - poor service and uninspired food. What a (literal) waste of space.
It’s not fair that Redemption is gone but Cross & Orange remains.
I still don’t know how C & O served me a steak with no flavor.
How will Mrs P go if she has to leave her high heels home?
