This getting to be a long trip down memory lane. I think the OG place was Raspberry Cafe. When Moonstruck was in their Ocean Grove location they often sent people there to wait for seats.

From the Google search, I clicked What cities do you deliver to? and strangely there is no option to enter a ZIP code. I just went to their home page and clicked Get Started and there I entered my ZIP code. They’re not delivering to my area (Northeastern Monmouth) yet.

I’m still not sure how much I love Misfits. Was hoping for more variety with the coming of summer. I keep getting basically the same order.

Whoever will post a pic of themself chowing down on a delivered lobster while on a beach chair, you will be my hero!

Ps, the Yumi wagyu served on a table side hot stone sounds pretty tasty too. I bet it is not low in price.

Anyone want to bet me my taxes do not go down a penny?

I wonder where all the deer will go. On a positive note, I do like wegmans and I wonder how this will go over with whole foods. With livottis and wegmans, they will have to be competitive.

cpl interesting tidbits in RedBankGreen blog today:

Siam Garden and West Side Eatery (nee Danish cafe) are both closing. Danish cafe wasn’t as good in it’s new form, missed the old spot.

the building Semolina is in was sold, hopefully the have a decent lease so they don’t suffer any issues with the new landlords that could affect the quality of what they are apparently putting out.

That’s a bummer about Siam Garden. We liked going there but it was $$$ and EMPTY every time we went.

Do you folks find thai prices have skyrocketed out of control? I think they have.

I haven’t noticed Thai prices specifically but Siam Garden always felt higher to me than other places.

We’ve always thought prices for Thai Food seem crazy especially when compared to Chinese Food. What’s an order of Pad Thai run compared to a quart of Shrimp Lo Mein at average places? How expensive are peanuts?

Very true, but probably also depends on where you go. I just ordered chicken pad thai at Vietnam Bistro (not a Thai restaurant if that’s not obvious) in Howell last night for $13. I barely ate half of it the order was so large. I believe it’s the same price at Bangkok Bistro up the road in Manalapan. But at Muang Thai in Red Bank they jack it up to $18.

I know this isn’t NJ news, but I’m appalled by the lack of activity on the NYC board (I had no idea!) so I’ll post it here…

Crazy stuff. I’d try it for fun. In Monmouth county, Fratellis is doing a version of his triple threat, called the Undecided. I haven’t been over there in a while, I should change that

Interesting…how much does that run? It seems the “Crust” on these pies get kind of burnt up a bit. I like my garlic knots on the oily side of the spectrum.

I might try it with the family for fun, but I think something like this is best eaten at 2AM after a night of enjoyment, where you wouldn’t worry about personal preferences as to doneness, much.

No clue on price, I just have seen them post it on other sites before and when I read Curlz article it reminded me.

Agreed. This seems like one of those things that sounds good in theory but never works on execution
