I only went once and haven’t gone back, which is really my fault. Thanks for the reminder!

Speaking of Indian, I wanted to plug my new favorite Indian spot lately, Sawan in Marlboro.

The buffet is awesome and priced right. A la carte portions are HUGE. And the flavor is some of the best I’ve had. If you haven’t tried Sawan I highly recommend it. Been here a few times before over the years but the food is just way better now for some reason.

Offshore Coffee will replace AP Roastery in Convention Hall in Asbury Park this spring.

I think someone new took over in the last year.

That makes sense! I hope they get more business, it’s always pretty quiet there.

If you haven’t heard about Hey Peach bakery in Bradley Beach, they were featured in the APP today. Let’s just say I can attest to the deliciousness. :yum: MUST-haves: almond croissants, coconut macaroons, and the tahini sesame cookies.

Wonder if Madison Marquette ran them off like they did to my friends spot that previously occupied that spot.Aqua was the name and the guys were local and it was really a fun place

A friend shared that with me a little while ago; you got here before I did! I’m thrilled.

I’ve been living here just shy of 10 years and never heard of Aqua. It’s been Anchor’s Bend and then Seahorse the entire time I’ve been here, and honestly, Seahorse has been tired for a while.

Yeah I have never heard of Aqua either, 13 years here now.

Just googled it, looks like it may have closed around 2012

MM wouldn’t allow my buds to use outside vendors, set up on the sand.and a lot of petty stuff
I believe it was a 2 year run. The place was always packed.Even in the dead of winter on weekends. Anchor succeeded it and then Seahorse I believe MM then hiked the rent and added more restrictions making renewal of the lease untenable for my pals.

That’s about right, I believe once they closed down I stopped going to AP after not being comfortable anywhere else. Hung with friends at Wonder Bar for awhile but Aqua was upscale and dive bars get old after awhile

Yeah anchors bend for a summer or two used the beach for concerts and had some tables out there, then they could t do it anymore which sucked.

Seahorse was charging 11 bucks for a basic drink in a Dixie cup
