Try Costco vanilla, it’s amazing and I won’t say I know anything about Ice Cream but I have traveled pretty extensively and surprisingly this vanilla is truly a premium ice cream. I am only recommending vanilla.
I will have to check it out as I just joined Costco
Heirloom at St Laurent news:
Big Announcement Alert!
Neilly & David here to kick off 2025 with some exciting news: we are resetting the table at The St. Laurent with a new restaurant & bar concept. One that we’ve been working intently on over the past year and that hits close to home.
It has been an amazing 2.5 years breaking bread with you all at Heirloom - these are the moments we live for, intentionally creating a space for real conversations while transporting you to somewhere special.
Now we are proud and excited to introduce you to Judy & Harry’s, bringing you Italian classics with a whimsical, international flair. We will feature a mainstay à la carte menu with everything from various large dishes to shareable small plates. Our hope is that this becomes your new neighborhood go to - a place to gather on a Wednesday night with friends and family, a place for first dates, and for celebrations of all kinds.
The names are deeply personal and carry meaning for David and I. Judy & Harry are my folks (and muses), and we can’t wait to share snippets of them that make them so fabulous! And if you have been lucky enough to meet Judy & Harry you know why they are so iconic and deserving of us creating this special space around who they are.
Cheers to The St. Laurent and our insanely talented team, without either none of this would be possible. We will pause service for 2 weeks as we transform the space to welcome our community to Judy’s & Harry. If you are looking for your Heirloom fix at The St. Laurent, dinner and cocktails to boot, you have until February 16th to make it happen!! Let’s continue to make memories together…
xoxo

Another Italian restaurant in NJ? Groundbreaking. I’ll still go check it out though.
I was going to say the exact same thing.
I finally made it to Heirloom at the St. Laurent over the holidays…had a great time. Glad I went before the change over. Had an Old Pal in the cocktail bar which was described by my server as a Negroni made with rye instead of gin. Kind of sounded like a Boulevardier. Either way, it was excellent and I may sneak back before the upcoming change over for another.
Yeah, I’m less than wowed by the concept change, but I’ve also been in there (I live a couple of blocks away) on weekday nights when the lounge is hopping but the restaurant isn’t. Crossing fingers for a Nellie’s-type place (still haven’t gone but enough friends who I trust RAVE about it) vs. a typical ‘red-sauce’ spot. That said, I trust Chef Viana so I’m not writing it off just yet!
Not that I’ve been there, but maybe they’ll reinterpret Italian cuisine similar to their handling of Portuguese at Lita.
What is Nellies? Or is that a typo for Netties?
Too late for me to edit it, but yes I meant NETTIE’S.
I was thinking of you when I saw this update. I assume they are seeing the writing on the wall with how MOST people aren’t doing a $90 pp fixed menu every day of the week (which add 2 $18 cocktails and tip is more like $150 pp). Good idea to pivot to a lower price point concept. Wonder if this may spell a change for heirloom or Lita.
Yeah, $90 PP doesn’t seem so bad but as soon as you add on anything (including bread service) that check just goes up up up! It’ll be interesting to see what they come up with next, but I do trust Chef David…
