New to me cleaning aid

I just got one of these copper cleaning and scrubbing cloths. It does a terrific job and is much easier to use than pads. Plus it is washable. Just pop it into one of those little laundry bags like you use for delicates and toss it in with the laundry. I found all cotton bags online.

Interesting. So this is like a cloth with copper thread and cotton thread woven together?

Exactly. It cleans really well and gets into corners much better than pads. I can’t believe it took me this long to try it. Thank you, Santa.

Found something similar on Amazon, gonna try it.

I haven’t ordered it yet, will report back when I’ve tried it.

I’ve used the copper mesh a few times now. It is not effortless by any means, but it does a good job on the stove, and a less good job on my cast iron and stainless cookware. I think it’s ultimately better than Barkeeper’s friend, though, and a lot less messy.

Oh, great!

Does it rust? I got some copper pads that seemed promising, but they rusted. I prefer these:

No. It does not rust. The ones that rust are steel (not stainless) with a thin copper or copperish coating.

Aye, that’s it.

Not so far, and it’s wet 80% of the time.
