We had our usually awesome stuffed lobster takeout from Don Pepe ll. They recently closed off their parking lot for outside dining. They put a large tent like roof over the tables. Pictures are in the main WFD thread below.

Should also add as someone who is cursed with a second grade wine palate myself, have you guys always done red with seafood? I believe that’s a relatively newer phenomenon? Those dishes sound hearty enough to stand up to a fruit bomb though, so that makes sense.
Thanks @Metsfan86. The collar was because the kitty just got his face cleaned and we don’t want him to lick it off.
White wine usually goes with seafood but we only drink red wine. The red zin mixture was a nice fruit bomb and not too heavy for the seafood.
I would drink Ridge Zin with anything, it is delicious. They also have/had a great stainless steel, not oaked, Chardonnay.
Not COVID-related but nowhere else to put this:
Justin had a random knock on the door this afternoon. It was a Door Dash order from Chipotle…which he did not actually order. Like, he has not used Door Dash in weeks and ordered Chipotle from them maybe once early on in the pandemic. He took the food in and then called Chipotle. They said it must have been a glitch in their system (there was no record on his app). They gave him a full refund since it charged his card on file and they told him to keep the food. It was a large container of grilled chicken (no rice or veggies, just a mound of chicken), two bags of chips, and an enormous container of guac.
I had the misfortune of picking on the chips and guac while prepping dinner tonight. The chips were too thin, so incredibly salty but did not taste of anything, and the guac was horrendous. We got what we paid for on this one! LOL

We offer SAME DAY deliveries to ocean county and Monmouth (not guaranteed but we do our best) if orders are placed before 11am same day.
We offer NEXT DAY PICK UP at our retail store. Orders will be available NEXT DAY after 11am. Pick ups are available Monday - Saturday.
We offer SAME DAY pick up at retail ONLY if order placed before 8am same day Monday - Saturday.
We don’t do any deliveries pick up or deliveries on Sunday. Any order placed after 11am Saturday or anytime Sunday will be delivered Monday. Please just visit our store during abbreviated hours 10-3pm on Sunday.
I’m doing another order tomorrow. Home delivery fish has been one of the major pluses of Covid at my house!

Wow nice! I just made short rib not too long ago, but it’s like my granpappy use to say: “you can never have too much short rib”.

They have a parking lot that they could have put up a tent, I see the owner every time I go to franks as she eats there every morning and I could never figure out why they just wouldn’t put up a tent.
I know the parking around there would be sketchy but there is Uber and whatnot
