Well Angela let me excite you, because this weekend I’m making a special Mother’s Day Meatloaf for just $ 50. !!!

And oddly, I was just about to post my meatloaf special for the low, low price of $49.95!

Who knew we’d see such fierce competition in the high end meatloaf market…Wait until Rum Runner comes out with the $70 meatloaf…I think the price becomes part of the sell. The closer to the water the higher the price.
I’m thinking of making a gold leaf meatloaf with truffle mashed potatoes and filet mignon and fois gras champagne gravy for $250. I’ll be serving it on a kayak in the Atlantic in SB across from Angelicas…

Good thing they are on the case

Wow - that looks great! Thanks for posting about Il Nido’s pick up service. I was a bit confused about how their family meals worked. It looks like you get some of everything on the menu is that right? I would have thought it would make more sense to pick from options for appetizer and entrees. The hard part would be picking one - I’d probably end up ordering several meals so as to not have to decide.

Everything from Antoinette Boulangerie was great! Thanks to @seal, I got in on the fresh out of the oven lemon loaves, as Curlz said. I have to third their rave reviews, it was delicious!!

In addition I brought home croissants, a tiny lemon meringue tart, another tiny lemon cake and a dozen eggs.

The real reason I went was to get 5 pounds of bread flour, following Greg’s recommendation. I’m happy to report it’s King Arthur.

They have a dedicated parking spot in the front. You call when you are outside and they tell you when it’s ok to enter. They are serving one person inside the store at a time.

They are lovely people, and I highly recommend shopping there!

Has not been approved yet and signed off by the governor, that will be the 14th as scheduled but certain restaurants, namely the Grand Tavern are pushing for approval prior to that

Thanks for the clarification. Based on their Instagram feed, The Grand Tavern has been quite vocal about getting this done quickly.

And I agree with them , for their sake and other restaurants, and selfishly for me as I love their drinks.
I was lucky enough to grab a couple before they had to stop.

Ordered for Mother’s Day 2 hours after the announcement and already didn’t have all pickup times available.

@CurlzNJ and I were supposed to go for drinks 3/18 - which obviously 2 days after restaurants and bars were shut down did not happen. They’d posted a cocktail with falernum that I wanted to try as I had just discovered it on a recent trip to Barbados and brought back with me. I find The Grand’s cocktail menu interesting and with too many choices.

When they briefly did the cocktails to go, the choices were pared down to two or three each day.
I waited until I saw a favorite on there and ordered the Remember the Maine and Mai Tai.

Just saw on Instagram that Nicholas Creamery may be opening this weekend

I thought I remember someone asking about softies, well The Pour House has them!! My favorite preparation too, fried sandwich on a nice hard-roll with tarter sauce.
