New items you’ve purchased at the grocery store

New brands for me. Not a new product!

I like Mackie’s turkey stuffing or turkey dressing flavour.

He’s really into all things Scottish, including the games. OTOH my matrilineal side is Scots-Irish, and I’m not going near haggis ( I feel the same way about kishke - the patrilineal side.) Tartans, yes, Scottish Tablet, you bet. Whiskey? Here’s my glass. Stuffed innards? Nope. And I don’t like liver, either. So sue me :joy:

Those Pfeffernusse are right up my alley! Hope they taste as good as they look!

I bought a pack of those pfeffernüsse a few days ago. They’re pretty good. Not many left.

That type of Pfefferneüsse is my all time favorite. That 's the kind I want to perfect in making.

In case anyone is near a Gelson’s

I’ve had a different variation on those before. Fried fish skin is a common snack in Asia, and it’s delicious. The salted egg flavoring thing has really exploded the last 10 yrs, so it’s a common biscuit/cookie/ snack flavoring - all to beating degrees of success imo.

I haven’t purchased this is years; it is from the "Amish’ store south of here. We used to call it ‘cheedeese’. I’m sure it can come in handy for a Halloween dish.

Apple slices dipped in that stuff are excellent.

Interesting! I’ll try it on an unsuspecting grandchild.

Yeah, but if I’m reading the package right, the product was created by a team of dedicated snackmologists.

Of course, another word for “dedicated” is “committed”… so there’s that.

This is what made our deep fried tacos in KC so delicious!
Or Parmesan dust on the Missouri side.

I’ve used it in mac & cheese to intensify the cheesy flavor.

Thanks for the heads up! I drive down 93 every other month or so and never knew this place was there, I will stop by next time I am nearby!

This store is just at the end of the airport. It is now quite different than the old time business that used to be there. Big on selling their Amish made furniture with a location in Polson, too. The lovely little restaurant (huge meals, all homemade ingredients, served family style) they had, The Dinner Bell, left with that side of the family and they all moved to Gold Creek. I saw some of their (the old family’s) totally decadent maple cinnamon rolls for sale years ago at the Butte farmer’s market during one of the Folk Fests. They might have a small store in Gold Creek.

I like the original HP better than this new fruity HP.

Here are a couple of items I have not yet purchased as I am hoping for input from any HOs who have

The d’Artagnan bacon is pretty $$$, as is the Beecher’s mac. I didn’t look at the price for the meat-a-ballz-a.

I’ve had Beecher’s Mac & Cheese twice. It’s the best frozen mac & cheese I’ve had. There’s plenty of high quality cheese in it, but you’re right, it is pricey.

I’ve recently noticed that Tillamook is producing a few varieties of frozen mac & cheese now. It’s not quite as expensive as Beecher’s, but it’s still fairly costly for mac & cheese. I think a few stores here carry at least some of the varieties. I’m planning to see if I can find some to see how it compares with Beecher’s.
