What's For Dinner #111 - the "I Got A Rock" Edition - October 2024

We made the excellent decision to grab a sunset brew at Bok Bar, a rooftop bar in South Philly on top of the Bok Building, which has a rich history and is now a shared workspace for artists, nonprofits, community projects, etc. etc — when we walked in we passed a gymnastics class for girls & I was in awe of their talent :star_struck:

I knew the view would be great, but I wasn’t prepared for just how spectacular it was going to be.

The light while the sun was setting was absolutely incredible.

I’m so glad we made it there before they close the doors Nov 3 until April — it had been on my list, and the ridiculous summer temps were perfect for it.

Since we’re going out tomorrow & Friday, we had leftovers at home: the Peruvian chicken from Monday night & Beecher’s frozen mac my PIC had grabbed for himself on one of his recent bach nights.

It may be “the best frozen mac & cheese,” but I didn’t care for it much: it’s penne — strike #1, and I found it to be both greasy and dry at the same time — strike #2 & #3. I would’ve preferred mac from the blue box over this.

I also made a salad, of course :wink:

Margaritas and mabez the ball game for dessert.
