That’s why my lunches are lighter than my dinners, although I’m aware it should probably be the other way around. We have a really nice Indian buffet in town that’s open for lunch every day, but I swear if I ate there I’d be useless for the rest of the afternoon
I hear ya! And for years eating on the fly led to really awful health. That’s a portion for 4 ppl tho. Dinner is a slice of peach slab pie…which I’m starting in an hour.
Adore Indian fare. Gotta get back to stopping at our local place.
Crabmeat bonanza this weekend. Risotto with saffron, fresh herbs, white wine, butter and wonderful jumbo lump crabmeat.
Crème pat , raspberries, amaretti dipped in rum for dessert.
I slept in this morning so it is lunch instead of breakfast. What a surprise to find D***-Dash had left a carton of spicy Thai noodle salad on my doorstep.
Lunch. And then dinner. And then breakfast the next day.
I hadn’t tried a Raos’s frozen pizza. They’ve added a fifth variation - a Supreme. So, in the interest of science …
The stock photo.
Verdict: For a frozen pizza, pretty darn good. Well seasoned as expected; I didn’t have to reach for my shaker of red pepper flakes or garlic powder or dried oregano, as is usually the case. But it’s Rao’s, right? (for the cost it’d better be good) Reheated leftover slices in my wee air fryer for subsequent meals until it was all gone. I was very thirsty afterwards - lots of sodium, though it doesn’t taste salty. Oh well.
Two egg scramble with fresh dill, parsley & scallion, plus a few crumbles of herbed goat cheese. It was better than its slightly anemic looks may imply.
I’ve tried a bunch of their frozen stuff. Some of the family sizes are just too big for me to deal with. Haven’t tried the meatballs. The pasta dishes are certainly several levels above what I would normally expect from a frozen dinner.
Yes, the Italian Wedding soup. I have to watch my salt, and it is salty, but, not unexpectedly, good. My fave brand years ago was Sun of Italy; they don’t make it anymore.
