Aw, man. That’s a sad looking döner. Hope your travels lead you to Berlin sometime, its birth place.
Tell me about it.
We had to chase it down with an order of Shake Shack.
Tart du jour …confit of duck, sautéed mushrooms, shallots and cabbage. The salad was watercress, fennel and orange.
O. M. G. Yer killing me ovah heah
Yesterday’s lunch (I inhaled today’s carnitas tacos too quickly to take a pic – oops) was sautéed spinach, scrambled eggs & the last of the DiBruno’s bacon, which had to be used up pronto.
Is today Christmas😒
Just a warm up!
And today we had…taters, bacon, onion sautéed in a little duck fat. Topped with quick sautéed duck livers with a Madeira deglaze. Dessert was lemon tart, sour cream.
You should be selling tickets! If I lived near you, I’d come for lunch.
I was just about to say can I move in? I’ll gladly do dishes, or serenade you during meals
Serenade sounds good!
Say. When.
Looks soo homey and comforting. Like something I could order at the local diner…until you read the rest of the ingredients! I WISH I could get that at the local diner.
Re: Serenading: the saying in my family was ‘Bruce couldn’t carry a tune in a dump truck.’ I’ll have to come up with something else.
Well then, you must not sing for your supper! How about whistling?
Yesterday’s lunch was…grilled halvarti cheese and ham. Brushed whole wheat bread with Kewpie wasabi mayo and griddled the sandwiches until cheese was melted. A little swipe of pickle relish found it’s way inside. Endive salad on the side with the sandwich and a wee slice of cranberry cake for dessert.
Khachapuri with meat?
Nice crust!
