Ooh, those look interesting!
I haven’t tried them yet, but I’m all in for an all-purpose condiments thread!
I’m in. What’s Fiesta steak seasoning?
It’s Fiesta brand’s clone of Lawry’s salt. I like it better, and it’s cheaper. Fiesta products I have tried so far are terrific and well priced. I go through their New Mexico chili powder and their cumin pretty fast.
Mmmmmm is right!
There was a defunct restaurant chain ( and for the life of me I cannot remember the name just the location in a shopping center) that served a hamburger that really tasted of seasoned salt - delicious -so much so that I tried duplicating it at home, to not much success. I’ll have to try again.
Aldi’s habanero ketchup. $.38 a bottle. Got 5 the other day.
THIRTY-EIGHT CENTS? I think I would have bought out the entire inventory.
I’ll probs grab a few more; but my pantry space and wife might not agree.
This is nothing exotic, but I just discovered this mustard and I love it. It’s like a combination of a few different flavors.

I’ve been seeing several of the Mike’s Amazing items at OSJL, including their mayo (which I haven’t yet tried). I see that they also have a Spicy Brown mustard; wonder how it compares to my usual Gulden’s Spicy Brown.
Mike’s - DISTILLED VINEGAR, WATER, #1 GRADE YELLOW MUSTARD SEED, #1 GRADE BROWN MUSTARD SEED, SALT, TURMERIC, AND SPICE.
Gulden’s - Vinegar, Water, Mustard Seed, Salt, Less than 2% of: Spices, Turmeric.
Mike’s shows yellow and brown mustard seeds, but otherwise, they seem the same. Will have to try it out.
A burger place on the way to cottage country in Ontario uses a heavy shake of seasoning salt on their fries Pretty addictive but not seen at too many other places around here. I bought some locally made Fry Seasoning in a jar, which is basically the same thing.
We had one of those in Dallas, the Burger House. Jack, a Greek, blended his own salt. It had loads of garlic.
Do what you gotta do. I’m very seriously considering buying 10 pounds of a tofu side dish from my favorite local poke place that is about to close down forever. I’m gonna do an experiment and see how well it freezes and thawing again before I make my big purchase. Then again, I am the wife. I’m not asking the husband if it’s OK with him..
So, at our recent visit to Honeybaked Ham, I saw they sell their own mayo — among several other things like baking mixes
& a cranberry walnut chutney.
Have any of yinzes tried either? I’m semi-curious about the mayo. Not a huge chutney fan.
I pass one all the way time but have never stopped in. How is it?
We’ve gotten their spiral cut ham for parties on occasion. It is flavorful and juicy. We also had a surprisingly excellent club sammich from them for a road trip recently.
The overall quality of what you get likely depends on the franchisee. Our local one is run well, and the daughter of one of my gal pals works in the kitchen ![]()
So am I, and I know better than to ask questions I know the answer to ![]()
Better to ask forgiveness…
They also sell the bones with a good amount of ham remaining, great for bean soup. I freeze the soup and later on still tastes great.
Good to know!
