I live two blocks from a TJ’s and have two basil plants in a planter in the backyard. They’re alive and well, but they aren’t proliferating and if I shear all of their leaves it wouldn’t be enough pesto for a dinner. I really like TJ’s but their basil clam shells are similar in small size. Good for putting on a pizza or in a salad but not voluminous enough to grind into a batch of pesto. I’ll work on accessing restaurant depot to buy it by the pound.
How much pesto do you make at once? I find a single clamshell container from TJs (containing 4 oz of basil) makes enough pesto for about 4-6 people as a main course. I suppose if you entertain large groups frequently, or wish to make enough at once to freeze for future meals, you’d need a bigger pack. But it’s definitely plenty for a dinner for 4-6!
It is funny how we all cook so differently. I use my cast iron grill pan at least once a week. In the oven in winter, on the grill in the heat. I also use my two little saucepans all the time for a single serving of oatmeal, noodles, reheating soup, etc.

Instant Pot - I have an old Mirromatic stove top pressure cooker that I like much better than the IP plus the IP takes up way too much space. Need to review the sunk cost fallacy argument and just ditch the thing.

Large SLT 5-ply stainless saute pan. It is just way too big for me these days with the nest emptying.

Nonstick electric griddle. Again, the size is the issue. When I was feeding pancakes to crowds of kids, it made sense. No longer. But spouse loves this one so it would be hard to actually get it out of the house.
My Grandpa had an immersion heater like in your photo. Back in the day, before hotels had microwaves and coffee makers, this is how he’d make a quick cup of instant coffee before he’s pack us all in the car to go get breakfast. I thought it was a brilliant idea back when I was a kid.
I had an indoor electric grill in my 20s. I was renting a house with old power and if I was using the grill and the refrigerator compressor turned on, all the power in the house would go out.
LOL! I forgot I even had a pizza stone, it’s been so long. Yeah, add that to the adios pile.
