Many of us stopped buying jarred and started making their own so we’re not part of the mayo buying statistics any more- and are eating more because homemade is so much better!
I’m 60 and never did like it where mustard is king on burgers here in Texas, sometimes mustard and mayo, but never ketchup.
Mayo and ketchup rule . Especially on French fries.
We had a discussion a while ago about “pink sauce.”
I’ll have to find it.
Mayo with Sriracha also has the color too:
I was going to ask, but apparently there are plenty ketchup with Sriracha:

Well, the two industries are vastly different in size. It would be comparing the tricycle industry to the automobile industry.
Except that there are minimal carbs in mayo, and carbs are the “true” diet devil. At least according to my 28 year old (who still hates mayo). She will put heavy cream, but not evaporated milk in her coffee. I happen to love the fact that mayo is okay in my low carb diet.
wait, what is your age bracket??
True, homemade paleo Mayo is also a big trend. Yawn.
- I’m younger than I look, or is that the other way around…
Okay, so I was WAY off in imagining your demographic. I think we are in the same demographic, and I’m a big fan of Dukes. And Hellman’s. And Best Foods. And aoli. And remoulade .
The other way around . That’s my philosophy for myself.
But i thought the article was saying it was the young folk that hated mayo now…
I had to look that up…soon I was wondering about ghee mayo, and duck fat mayo. Guess what I found!
I guess mayo hate is not limited by age.
Plenty of haters and lovers. I don’t fear fat. Food is not the enemy. Lifestyle maybe
No question I’m on destructive path. I smoke cigars, I drink too much, but my weight is down and cooking is a passion. Won’t bat an eye to foie gras or fat from any animal. Not drinking schmaltz…but don’t fear it. You only go around once so enjoy the ride. No regrets
agree, as you might imagine, 1000%, on all counts!
I knew this Maria. Kindred souls
No . I love mayonnaise on hot dogs , and fish . And others too
