Vaccum insulated / double walled casserole dishes (like thermos but serving dishes) were popular in the 80s in India, long before microwaves reheating became the norm – kept the meal warm until people ate, or if people ate in stages.
Taking hot food to meetings; usually a breakfast casserole.
