Thanks for sharing the article however Maria died last year. Were you informing us of her death? Or her healthy lifestyle? A preamble would be helpful.
Ya, I dunno. Living to be 117 might not be as great as people think Good for her tho
If I knew I was going to live to 117, I’d shoot myself at about age 75, maybe sooner.
I remember one of my aunts telling me when she was younger that she didn’t want to grow old so when she’d turn 60 she’d take a bottle of Tylenol and be done with it. I kept telling her that would just make her sick. And she’s a nurse She’s in her 80s now and still alive.
Right!! Reminds me of a scene in Afterlife by Ricky Gervais when they do an interview with a woman who just turned 100, I’d post it here but it’s filled with tons of profanity
Oh, no! Not profanity!!!
Including the dreaded C word!!! *clutches pearls
there have been some recent studies relating to her and her diet that are relevant to healthier eating. I will post some links below.
These stories about the genetics and diet are from this past week.

Ridiculous that they try to get any meaningful information to generalize out of a study of one person and in the end they just throw out the same buzz words like telomeres, mitochondria etc the longevity biotechs do for the last 10 years
Lohikeitto made with Arctic char tonight, and a green salad with oil and vinegar.
I think this is the recipe @MunchkinRedux mentioned, when I first noticed it on HO.
I used sweet onions, green onions, celery, dill, parsley and allspice tonight. No leeks or carrots tonight.
