They serve lamb shashlik (skewers), as well as chicken shashlik and pork shashlik, which I havenât seen too often in Toronto.
Open at lunch and dinner, and they offer take-out.

The iconic Cantonese Wok-Hay Specialist - Maple Yip has re-opened as 'Mapleâs Kitchen â at Brimley and 14th Avenue!
The people who own CĂ´te de Boeuf and Union are taking over the space where By The Way CafĂŠ had been located at Bloor and Brunswick.
It will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I am glad there will be a higher food quality food option on that stretch of the Annex again. Apart from Nadege and Simit-Chi, most of the current restaurants operating on Bloor between Spadina and Bathurst aim at the cheap, cheerful and fast client base.
Follow-up to share that theyâve now opened and are accepting resos. Iâve messaged asking for a menu to take a look at, nothing on their website or IG yet.
That seems to be a trend with restaurant openings these days along with oh so many other dodgy practices. For this girl: no menu, no prices, no dice.
Agree ⌠esp since I need dietary accommodations and want to know whatâs available for me. It seems so many new places have IG only.
I get really frustrated with places that only have Instagram and not a proper website. My wife and I are not on Instagram and donât plan to be, so we canât view what people post there. When I have looked via other peopleâs accounts, I find the information really lacking - often no menu or information about hours.
Nice might try it soon as close by
So, a new seafood place with 2 of the three Entrees serving âsnow crabâ - which is currently âout-of-seasonâ in Canada!
Now, I understand why no website.
But, of course, the proof will be in the âtastingâ - but Iâll let someone else do the research!
Hahaha. You rule Estufarian.
Walked by seahorse today. They do have minimalist website now and a menu posted at the door. Will probably visit soon
Formerly 156 Cumberland restaurant that closed down in December 2024 has finally reopened (with liquor licence!) as OneFiveSix restaurant at 1100 Queen Street West. Food at this Korean-French fusion restaurant was excellent, earning the coveted Michelin Recommended 2022-2024 when they were at their Yorkville location and I expect theyâll regain this recognition next year. We have made a reservation & will post a review soon. Congrats to MJ and Jen!
Brasserie Cote by Cote de Boeuf are opening in Annex at 400 bloor West. Dec 2025 target
Like to give a shout out to a new small Vietnamese cafe just opened in Runnymede-Bloor West Village (the Junction area) called Phin & Go Cafe. My wife and I came by this small coffee shop at 3325 Dundas Street West at their pre-opening last week.
They served us Vietnamese coffee (& spring rolls) that was as authentic & delicious as any we had in Vietnam when we were there earlier this year. We spoke with Katie who, along with her husband, owns the cafe and she said the coffee filters used for the slow drip are sourced directly from Vietnam (normal filters apparently donât work well for Vietnamese coffee). The beans are from Italy. They also serve light foods like bĂĄnh mĂŹ, sticky rice, spring rolls and Vietnamese desserts.
Katie is also a software developer and is developing an app that she will soon implement at the cafe that allows customers to order, track, drive by and pickup while sitting in their car. Her husband has a PhD, both born in Vietnam and they met in university in Seoul, South Korea! Interesting couple! They officially opened this week.
Love this. Thank you.
