A new Chinese restaurant called Fortune Landing Seafood Cuisine has opened up at 50 Lockridge Ave. in Markham. It’s location was formerly occupied by Win’s Seafood Restaurant that closed down a while ago. Menu is standard fare Cantonese (dim sum + dinner), as are the prices that are comparable to many other Chinese restaurants of its kind such as Starchiva, Skyview, etc.
We went for dinner and at peak dinner time it was packed with people. The final bill includes a service charge, so tipping any more is at your discretion.

For the first time in it’s 30+ year history, Kostas Meat Market is opening a second location. Lucky for me, its in Pickering. No word on their website nor social media yet, but signage is up. Expect reeeeeally long line-ups.

Saku katsu has opened a location in Toronto.
Funny enough I just went to trusty old katsuya DT location would have tried them instead had I known. Here is a pic of the combo set I had (chicken) at katsuya
