Fissler Phi Collection

Something New From Fissler: the “Phi Collection”: https://www.fissler.com/us/navigation/collections/collections/phi-collection/?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=openbox2&utm_content=DISCOVER+PHI&nl_category=&sc_src=email_4999815&sc_lid=427048660&sc_uid=vxe3Szucgh&sc_llid=36264&sc_eh=706fbbc2718f207b1

Not merely for the sorority- and fraternity-minded, this new line appears to me to be Fissler’s answer to the Demeyere Pawson line. Not sure of the bottom disk thickness–I’ll leave that for someone with interest to determine.

Was on the market for a replacement for an ancient 5QT pot, and found the Fissler PHI one on sale on their site. Was trying to avoid another high-end/expensive piece of cookware myself, but the sale proved too tempting. My first Fissler, so I hope this lives up to the hype.

Congrats. Measure the bottom thickness when you get it?

Fissler Phi 5.2L / 5.4Q stock pot with glass lid.
Pot is 5.125in tall, and inside wall is 4.75 in tall.
Bottom should be 0.375 inches thick.

The rim is not completely straight, and flares slightly outward at the top so the inside measurement is based on laying the cardboard flat on top and measuring to that.

It feels solid but not too heavy. The comfort of the flat handles is TBD. I like the design of this glass lid. It combines a tighter seal of a metal lid with the convenience of visibility into the pot.

Thanks.

Is the interior bottom slightly convex? You photo makes it appear that way.

No, flat. Super shiny new pot, so I think it’s a trick of the lighting in the photo.
