I know it. No interest in bear encounters. Last year, we had a herd of raccoons tear up our picnic tent because they smelled the remnants of food on a cutting board that we actually washed, and once they got in, they couldn’t get out again. They were screeching and agitated all night.

All very fine ideas. I wouldn’t keep the sausage drippings overnight though. Bears.

You campers are hardy souls, that’s for sure.
I never went until I met my husband, who grew up with it. But it’s a beautiful thing to be in the woods, and when else do you have an excuse to get together with friends, and your kids with their kids, for an entire weekend? Not that often. The only drawback is the bathrooms.
