It’s probably to do with my phone or camera settings, but I cannot seem to figure out why some pics I upload show up YUUUUGE, while others are more moderately sized
Could any of our techies 'splain it to me? Slowly?

I can’t do it on my phone, but on my tablet i can select from three sizes
50 percent
The thing is that I never select a particular size.
See my recent post in WFD. I uploaded them all the same way, yet they show up in different sizes randomly?
I don’t pretend to understand this, but I remember reading it before.
I never noticed the options for resizing in the Preview window! Here’s a 50% version of what I posted in WFD last night.
I’ll see what happens when I upload dinner pics next.
Breakfast pic was a biggun
Ok, here’s your original picture’s size:
I think it has to do with your camera’s settings on pixel size. The higher the two numbers for pixels, the better picture resolution you have. So yeah, the pics look great, but they’re bigger to view AND they take up more storage space on your phone or computer.
I downloaded your breakfast photo to my phone. I went to the photo in my phone’s gallery, clicked Edit, went to the hamburger in the upper right hand corner (Android), and chose Resize Picture and resized it to 60%.
When I go to the 2nd picture and click Edit and Resize Picture, you can see how “Original” is now smaller.
Here is the 2nd picture after resizing.
AND you can see the file size difference between the first photo (822 kB) and the resized photo (187 kB).
So…changing your phone’s settings to take lower resolution pics would help them to be smaller.
I actually prefer the big pictures over the smaller ones
I delete them shortly after posting (unless I shot a particularly nice one I might want to save), so storage is not an issue.
