Demeyere Nanotouch

Hi all.

I’m currently spending some time in Belgium. And have come across a new version of the Demeyere silver line 7 called “Nano touch” it has a new surface but shouldn’t be a non stick.

Anyone of you guys knows if it’s any good.

Also. The silver line is only 3 mm thick. Anyone who has experienced any problems with warping using there thinner lines on induction cooktops?

Thanks
Søren

I don’t see them here yet.

For those who read French.

Thanks.

Gave a bit of info

For anyone who is interested, the only place I’ve been able to find it for sale who ships outside of Belgium is the site I mentioned above.

Yes they have pages in English and German.

I’d like to try one. I have an induction cooktop.

OK. I got one. It is affirmatively not nonstick. It weighs a little more than 2 lbs 14 oz. My Demeyere pro-line, also 24 cm, weighs 3 lbs 14 oz. I have an all-clad 24cm (because it’s apparently the same as a WMF) FusionTec that weighs a whopping 4 lbs.

I think this is all about the cooking surface being able to brown and sear better. I will figure out a test run. After I use up my frozen pizza. :joy:

(aside - I learned to cook before nonstick was ubiquitous. And did fine. )

The pan surface is very matte.

3mm.

Yeah that’s the one I got. Mine is just a 28 cm.

I haven’t tried mine yet. But I plan to when I get home from the Hollydays.

I also have a pro 7 24 cm. It’s way thicker than the new one. And I wonder if the new one will warp when it’s only 3 mm thick.

Time will tell.

Reminds me of the iPod Touch and the iPod Nano. Maybe there should have been an iPod TouchNano, or NanoTouch.

Or the Mork Nanu Nanu.

Good one.
Nothing would surprise me at this point.

Nothing has surprised me for way too long…

Remember Nanobond? Physically indestructible-- that is, until I scratched one before an amazed W-S sales associate.

I suspect this Demeyere share the durability edge, and is non-stickier than their SS-lined pans.

Yawn. This is pretty thin gruel…

I think they’ve run out of new ideas … for now.

So… gave the pan its first use today.

It was a great experience(Demeyere usually is) but wont say the Nanotouch thing added anything to a already great pan.
