Hey. Just don’t have sweet pork rinds ![]()
Sorry, no pics, just a tok.
But the product with one of the dumber names in recent memory is this:
Mmmmmmmmush.
If they only knew how much I gagged on mushy foods most of my life. I need to chew, at least a little. Steel-cut oatmeal was a milestone for me Blechh, you lost me as a potential customer ![]()
Seen at Aldi today. Nope.
Nope.
Same.
![]()
Nope.
Love shrimp, love dill pickle, love (some) ranch, but nope. Maybe the Nashville hot version, but I don’t really care for breaded shrimp.
Hail no!
I think my cousin has told me he makes fried dill pickles, but I look at these pictures and think “why?”
I tried them. I would eat then again.
They often look the same as fried zucchini!
The place we went to very recently used to have uh-MAZing fried pickle spears. They were breaded, not battered, and were wonderfully kronchy & tart, with the breading having a bit of a kick, too. Apparently they’re a total PITA to make, so they are no longer available ![]()
When done right, they can be great. But… breaded shrimp stuffed with dill pickle ranch?
Nuh-uh. Nope-di-nope.
But the granola — if you can even call it that — is far worse for me. Just have a f’n donut already and give up on the idea of having a ‘healthy’ breakfast ![]()
Stuff the shrimp with crabmeat or lève them alone. ![]()
Stuff 'em with lemon raspberry granola, how 'bout dat? ![]()
Perfect. ![]()

The guac might be okay. Earlier this year I accidentally bought a container of mango guac at WF – basically guac with chunks of mango in it. Not something I would ever, ever buy. But it wasn’t cheap so I popped it open and … it wasn’t bad at all. I won’t rush back and buy more, mind you…
Fried pickles, done well, are straight up amazing. (If you like pickles.) A BBQ place near here does them and they’re seriously addictive. They use mostly dill slices, and a small amount of pickled jalapeno slices so occasionally you get a hot bite. Bit of blue cheese on the side. Great appetizer.
I make a pretty excellent ceviche/tartare with salmon, champagne mango, and avocado.
Still don’t care for any fruit in my guac.
I was given a free taste of the carrot cake Lindt truffles. It is white chocolate (an abomination in itself) flavored like the cheese frosting used on carrot cake. A very bad idea.
Yeah, no ![]()
Nah. There is some excellent white chocolate available. Not chips that you get in the grocery store, and nothing from Lindt. But don’t discount the entire category. Valrhona Ivoire and Guittard Soie Blanche are both examples of higher end and easily found very good white chocolate should you ever wish to try again.
Felchlin also makes really good white chocolate.
Thanks! I’ve not heard of this producer before. Will give it a shot next time I do an order.
So I’m trying to post about pancake in a cup but the link is wonky,
