Did buy one ? I almost did. Still might.

I almost did too - if shipping was free I would have pulled the trigger

I bought two just to save on shipping. Even with shipping, the price is good.

Any Global experts here please? I’m very close to springing for a G30 filleter, which my local fishmonger uses, and it looks awesome in his hands. However I’ve also seen a G41 online which looks identical. Does anyone know the difference please?

Guess I could just ask the knife seller:

I bought one. Now…what is a slicing knife?

Kinda a cross between a boning and chef knife. It is flexible, but not so much as a boning knife. It is designed for slicing proteins, but this one seams a little short as my Henckels slicing knife is 10 inches, which I use for turkey, roasts, ribs, etc.

Thank you!

I did look it up and realized the slicer knife I have is the knife I rarely use, but I don’t have any Global knives, and it is a crazy deal, so there’s that!

Yeah, I’ve had my knives for almost thirty years, and of the 10" chef, 10" slicing, 8" chef, 6" cleaver, 6" boning, 6" utility, 3" and 4" pairing, the only one I have not needed to sharpen is the slicing knife. Most used (and sharpened) are the 8" chef and 3" pairing.
