Here’s the sum total of my wisdom on cooking dried beans.
Don’t confuse the ZipLoc in which you’ve stored the remainder of a bag of beans, and the ZipLoc of beans you’ve been using as weight for blind baking pie crust.
(Actually wasn’t my fault. A daughter did a sloppy job opening a new bag, tore it down the side, so she helpfully put the rest into the same sort of ZipLoc that I’d been storing my weight beans in.)
