I don’t know that it really qualifies as coffee, but I liked it and it contains espresso.
The Paçoca Frappe with Nutella and Brazilian peanut candy ($8) at OMG Tapas and Café on Dovercourt just north of Bloor. Next to Mac’s Pizza.

It’s not worth it. Not compared to other Chinese restaurants in Toronto and not compared to Mott 32 in Hong Kong.
Espresso? Yes counts as coffee in my book
Great minds
I met a friend at Krave at 781 St Clair W. His flat white is on the left and my cortado is on the right. Both cost $4.50 today.
Morning Parade on Dundas W near Trinity Bellwoods.
Dirty Chai at Nofa on Lansdowne. They charged for a chai latte plus a shot of espresso, around $7.
Two Bloordale coffee spots tried. Both excellent and can’t choose between them.
Field Trip Cafe- 3 Westmoreland Ave, Toronto, ON M6H 2Z6. Unpretentious, laptop hangout with a sandwich and pastries menu. I had a cappuccino with a raspberry scone. Both delicious. It was quietish in there, laid-back, casual. Coffee art needs work but who cares.
I happened on Cafe Paradise - 1014 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6H 1M2 - one day while looking for anywhere to have a coffee ( my first in a year or two, due to sumach issues). It was a good one. The coffee is rich and deep and their pastry selection is really nice. One day I had a fudgy brownie, and the next week shared a decadent apple fritter (Tim Hortons, take note). They have a decent lunch menu and a standing freezer full of Death in Venice gelato, pesto and the like.
I like Field Trip, a lot!
In Bloordale, I’m also a repeat customer at Saving Gigi- 859 Bloor W and The Daily Grind- 426 St Clarens Ave further west.
My Cortado today was a good one, from Dough Bakeshop, 173 Danforth on Danforth.
There’s a counter inside where one could stand and have their coffee. Also, a bench out front, which is where I had my cortado.
I like a cortado. I had a decent one at Tre Mari recently, also a few shared cannoli. This time they were good. The last time not so much -but that was in 2good2go so not exactly fresh.
Glad they were good this time.
Up near Tre Mari, I’ve been meeting my friend at the Dark Horse location at 1183 St Clair W for a cortado or a flat white.
Confession - I’ve never had a flat white. Ok - goal.
I hope you like it.
I liked Found Coffee at 189 Shaw a lot.
Their coffee prices are a bit steeper than most coffee shops in the neighborhood. A 12 ounce cappuccino costs $6.30. My very good banana nut muffin was a reasonable $4.
They have some outdoor seating in the winter and a take-out window.
They also serve hot oatmeal, avocado toast, and other toasts.
@googs, this coffee shop is inside the Vandermeer Nursery in Ajax
Oh thank you. Since the headline is “in Toronto” I wasn’t sure about mentioning Durham fueling stations. Closer to my home is this cute little place Open Art Studio Cafe near the Pickering marina. The coffee, art, and music are all very well done. Check out the map to see how nice it is to park it there.

Please do mention your filling stations.
They are welcome in this thread.
Another visit to Emily Rose Cafe
at 721 Palmerston at Barton yesterday, for a cortado.
And another cortado today at Hamers at 870 Dundas W, at Manning.
$4.35 including tax for a cortado at Lost Coffee at the Chefs’ Hall. Nice cortado, somewhat surly barista.
