Newfie Fries
Difficult to find outside Newfoundland. I only know of a handful of places serving it in Ontario.
Most commerical restos use Stovetop. The essential flavour that is added to the fries is the savoury (the herb).

Newfoundland has a lot of cookies and squares that are a little different than the typical cookies and squares found in the Mainland provinces.

Last year, I found a Newfie baker outside Edmonton, and purchased some squares and a Newfoundland-style fruitcake, which she delivered to my cousins.
