Burns Night

We can’t our act together for Monday. Might we ask for a dispensation to treat a new bottle of Talisker sufficient for the occasion?

I’d think so!

Our mistake. Costco find – Johnny Walker Double Black – already open. Sla’inte.

Yes, it was Coulson, not his life and business partner, Slack is credited with the invention. Apologies for the error.

I won’t really be doing any Burns supper. I may have to just do a Burnt supper instead.

I made Scotch eggs. Didnae get the runny yokes I wanted but they were tasty. I had them with potato soup as I didnae have the fixin’s for Cullen skink. My Scottish ancestors ended up in Kentucky so there was bourbon instead of scotch. Sla’inte

Thank you, it was my first time making them.

If there’s a painted fish under the Scotch eggs (which look fantastic), I have the same dishes, also some soup bowls.

Is it these? I also have salad plates and what they call shallows. I used to have rice bowls but I broke them all. The bowl in the picture does not belong to the set.
4th day

It’s Burns Night! I may make a vegetarian haggis.

The haggis Shepherds Pies look tasty.

May make a Cranachan cheesecake for dessert! https://cookpad.com/uk/recipes/13434778-cranachan-cheesecake-no-bake
