So I get to Wegman’s right at 6 am as they are opening and they are stocking these giant blueberries, so I grabbed one. These are huge, firm, and juicy. I included a quarter for reference.
Came here to see something bizarre . Disappointed to find just a big blueberry.
Personally, I figure being at Wegman’s at 6 AM is pretty bizarre all by itself.
Where are they from?
That was my biggest surprise. I figured they would be local, but they are from Peru.
Imagine having the store to yourself. It’s almost spooky.
I had to look these up. I’d never heard of these giant blueberries before! Will have to check them out if I go to my local Wegmans in Burlington, MA this weekend.
I typically am at Wegmans by 630 am, can’t stand going after 8.
Problem is when I go that early they don’t have a lot of the produce out
My Wegmans in Ocean have had them for a long time. They are really good and I buy them often.
Can we change the title is the thread to Mutant Blueberries? 
My mom grows blueberries that aren’t that big but are quite large and are 100% organic. No GMOs.
I spent my formative years in Toms River, before the mall. Adjacent to our property was an abandoned farm. Rows and rows of Jersey blueberries at my fingertips. Aaahhhh!

If you make the trek, she will absolutely let you pick your own! She rarely leaves the farm but is friendly (enough) to outsiders ha!
Hammonton blueberries are often that large!
