Just the term implies luxury and value, I suppose, regardless of what you’re trying to sell. See also wagyu burgers.
That’s mostly because many people don’t know what Wagyu means and what it not covers. Wagyu in itself isn’t anything special or luxury but just a marketing
I always roll my eyes at food items in the grocery store stating “gluten free” when there was no gluten in them to begin with.
