I have a collection of NordicWare Bundt pans - they’re in the basement. I do not like to bake but over the years I acquired a number of them mostly for fall and winter holidays. My favorite is the turkey cake pan that makes 2 half turkeys that get glued together with frosting to make a 3-D bird. And a pan that makes 3-D gingerbread houses and a bigger cake pan for a large gingerbread house. I made a little village for a Christmas Eve dessert buffet one year - really charming dusted with confectioners sugar. I’ve been donating a lot of my kitchenware and tableware to our Council on Aging thrift store but can’t bring myself to part with these.
I saw that article!
Bravo to her! Great find and sale.
I get the person who gave it away is kicking themselves.
Our first house was just l little bit shy of what that monstrosity costs. The truck I believe got a bit of a discount because of a family member ‘in the business’. I paid $5K for my 2000 Volvo, the same amount I paid for the '86. I believe I’ve gotten a better run with the 2000. 23 years old and it is showing some little annoying things that are coming up (back hatch locking mechaism fail, turn signal weirdness). The '86 wasn’t quite a money pit, but those parts weren’t cheap. Then we found IPD…
+1 I brag about me deals. Who would brag about pssing away money?
It looks like someone else didn’t want their NordicWare today:
Perfect condition, just under $4. It will join its brethren in my baking cupboard.
Sadly I’ve known people to brag about how much they paid for things. I remember a couple we were longtime friends with who were appalled that her mother wore a dress to dinner with them one night that she said she had found in a thrift store. SMH…
Score!!!
That Squared pan is one I have and used a couple of times. But I set aside shortly after I got it (at the Factory outlet) years ago because I couldn’t figure out good ways to cut slices. The helpful photo now on the product page and recipe page on their website has me wondering why I found it so tough — simply cut along the angles of the pan’s design.
Thank you for the link. Lots of helpful hints there.
Aside from being incredibly expensive and bulky, I recall that the huge motor and the water filtration system was superior to anything else, end result wise.
Have you seen the video clip of the Ford truck pulling out a Tesla e-truck that was hopelessly stuck in snow and mud?
No. Link?
I’m not one of them, but I think even buyers of other E-trucks think the Hyper truck is ridiculous.
Have you checked out today’s article in Wahington Post about the guy who spent >$1 million on his ultimate stereo system? Quite the morality tale.

35,000 watt amplifiers?
Thanks. It sort of looks like it already rolled.
It made me sad.
I know a few folks who second that emotion. What they hey? They think the value is in the money spent.
It’s behind a paywall.
Amps that are 35,000 watts is nuts!
I used to be an audiophile who listened carefully for every nuance. Now that I’m older and wiser, I just relax and enjoy the music.
It’s worth finding. Captain Ahab had nothing on Mr. Fritz.
