The traffic patterns and roadways for the entire HD-Costco-Stew Leonard complex were so poorly planned it is unbelievable.
@vinouspleasure I agree, I don’t like it either, although I think I dislike the Port Chester Costco even more due to the ridiculous two level set up. The sloped people mover is such a hassle.
We had a lot of trouble with the google maps instructions for Yonkers and went into the lower level once in error. we should have stayed there - the whole business with the upper parking lot and the Stew Leonards was annoying. It is a rather bad Costco, definitely worse than the 2 level Brooklyn Store (the wine store is also poor, but we sadly do not even have the liquor store in Brooklyn any more) which has to have the worst parking situation in the world. I was not paying attention once and got stuck in there for an hour just moving through without ever finding a parking place. We are lucky to be able to do beer and wine shopping at an Ohio Costco (tires too) without a parking problem.
A big yay for the Kerrygold, on sale at my local Costco too. Which convinced my to try a loaf of the
Rustic Italian loaf. Its a very heavy loaf and not really very rustic. A meh at best. An smear of butter improved it tremendously.
Yearly Costco run yesterday, grabbed a bag of my favourite frozen shrimps Diamond Harvest 16-20 ez peel.
$20 for 1kg which is by far the best deal in town, also grabbed a chuck o’ 30 month old Parm/Regg 1kg for $30 CAD, again it’s the best deal in town.
