It was a few years since I did a general browse of the food section (Nashua NH store). Not all these are organic, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much organic foodstuffs they now carry.

YAY: JoJo’s dark chocolate pistachio almond cranberry bites. Less sugar, more protein than typical.
YAY: KS blueberry cheesecake croissants. Obviously, pastries in a plastic clamshelled tray are not going to stay flaky. These are more kouign amann than croissant. KA shape, buttery caramel glaze, baked in shallow, wide paper cups.
Perennial YAY: KS nut bars. Not very sweet, better taste than Kind bars and similar snack bars.
YAY: sweet potato sticks. The bag contains 6 individual packs of slices of steamed sweet potato. NOTHING else. I noticed these and got them for myself as well as my Visiting Nurse, who once mentioned loving sweet potato. They are flexible and rather sticky, but perfect for her to have in her car while she makes her daily rounds.
YAY: Cheesecake Factory wheat bread. A bagged, sliced rectangular loaf version of the dark brown baguettes at the restaurants.
YAY: Cello Copper Kettle brand shaved parmesan cheese. In a squat clear plastic refrigerated jar. A pound for $10 is a great price.

I saw those croissants but thought they might be too sweet, love KA, will give them a try!

Best,

Best to just Google it.

In the Google box on your smartphone should be a camera icon. Point it onto the photo of the tee. Your phone will then display sources and prices. I only heard of this feature recently . My phone is over 5 yrs old but does have this ability.

Thanks, but my phone appears to be too old to do that. Instead I just googled “costco dog in me shirt” and came up with a lot of sources. Thanks!

Mostly YAY for this pistachio cream:

Bit of oil on top when I opened it, but it mixed right in. The product has a super-smooth, slightly runny texture. Nice bright color.

I like that they note the percentage of pistachios on the ingredients list, something I’m disappointed that the Trader Joe’s version (which I’ve not yet tried) does not do:

So after all of that preamble, how does it taste? I’m a regular consumer of pistachio cream and usually buy the Eataly brand (41% pistachios). Unfortunately I’m out right now so I can’t do a side-by-side, but it’s my baseline. Compared to my memory of that one, this one is surprisingly less flavorful (especially given the much higher pistachio percentage), and it seems a bit sweeter. On the face of things, a loss, but..! Eataly: $16/8.5oz. Costco: $12/21oz. Costco’s is certainly not quite as luxurious tasted straight, but used in a baked good I think it will be perfectly fine, and at that price I think it’s a win. I’ll save the Eataly stuff, when I get a refill, for my usual application of simply eating some directly from the jar with a spoon.

I second the yay on the DCPAC bites.

As it happens, just today for the first time I got a jar of the Eataly stuff at the recently opened Eataly in Miami.

It’s on sale through early next month for 36% off. [$8 off the usual $22 price.]

Now trying to figure out / remember what I should do with it.

Personally I find that most applications will overpower the goodness. Any bread with decent flavor for example, which you might think would elevate it, IMO actually does the opposite. I like it on crepes – that’s delicate enough to carry the flavor and texture. Most often I just grab a spoonful and enjoy a makeshift lollipop :spoon:

You could add it to pistachio ice cream if that’s your groove.

Yay - In stock again at my Eden Prairie, MN Costco. These Tattooed Chef Sheet Pan Vegetables are exactly the mix I prefer but buying/prepping the separate veggies for just two is tricky. The 4 pound bag already prepped and frozen will last a while here. But since it seems to be stocked as a seasonal item, I’m considering how to make freezer space for at least 1 additional bag.

Thanks, their other products look interesting too, Will check the MA stores, see if they have them.

The Costco I went to today did not have any of this now. A couple of chain markets have had it but in very small bags. Has anyone seen the large (or at least larger) bags in South OC CA recently???

Just down the road from Costco Wayne is a mall with a Total Wine store. WAY better than Costco in all respects. To me, Costco Wayne’s drinks section prices an selections was a huge disappointment. There’s a well-stocked TW in Riveredge NJ too (and of course it’s nowhere near a rive); if you go there and need wine advice, seek out a clerk named Tawfik, who is terrific.

I shop at the Total Wine store in Totowa all the time. Around once a month they have a 20% off sale, where I am able to stock up on my $40 wines for $32. I live 10 minutes away, and place an online order and pick it up. We like to get frozen Dungeness crabs at the Wayne Costco.
