I paid less for my first studio apartment. You think I’m kidding, but I’m not.
my nephew (not the one who just visited), is a whiskey expert who owns over 2k bottles(!) He says they’ll almost definitely be undrinkable.
This was one of my many questions.
Samples? Sure, thanks!!

That’s a 25% discount, I couldn’t afford it even if it were 400% off.
If it were 400% off you could surely afford it, as they’d be paying you… ![]()
Why?
You obviously didn’t study economics at an Ivy League school.
He says it will be bitter and tannic from overoaking.
I’m bitter from not being able to taste it, but I don’t buy the idea that these famed producers don’t know how to age their own spirits.
Edit: Just remembered, I’ve had a very small glass of a 50 year old Cognac before – and it was neither bitter nor tannic.
THERE! ARE! FOUR! LIGHTS!!!

[For those who never watched ST:TNG, my apologies for the reference.]
I really have no idea but he has tasted an awful lot of whiskey and has a lot of expensive/rare stuff.
I found a review…I can’t believe, at that price point, that they actually sent samples. Crazy.
Final verdict: “Not exactly a bargain, but still a beauty.”

I’m more of an Orwell guy:
“The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
Thanks, I forwarded it to my nephew. I dunno, is it me, or is something not adding up:
“Just 130 decanters will be released globally, with 10 of these landing in the United States.”
Not food…but food related. I got a portable 12v DC 30 liter refrigerator, on sale for $159. Seems like a good price. It runs off a car cigarette plug or a portable power bank/battery. Testing it now. So far so good, holding a steady temp of 40f, so I’d say Yay…until full field tested. Given Costco’s return policy, easy purchase but we’ll see. Phantomgogo MCD30 Electric Cooler
Yay for beef shanks! First time working with this cut, trimmed, seared and braised, delicious!
I love that bread. Alas, one of the reasons is that it contains enough sugar to be classified as cake.
I like(d) that bread too. Until just a moment ago when I checked the ingredients for the first time ever. Thanks for ruining it ![]()
