This feature is no longer available. There are very few non-English posts hence there is no longer a need for this feature.

Translator of posts from multiple languages to the language set in your user preference (default is English) is now available. Just click on the globe icon that shows up underneath the post when the post is not in your default language. Give it a try below.

Some languages that are less widely used are not available.
Bug: Chinese translator returns an error.

Doesn’t work, Catalan, with Microsoft plugin.

@hungryonion Possible to use Google instead?

Google is not free. Microsoft is (for our usage level). So unless there is larger need, we’ll stick with the free stuff.

Looks like this feature is gone. Too bad.

A few months ago i noticed that the translate feature broke. So it was disabled. Haven’t figured out the reason for the malfunction yet.

An update: Thought originally that its because our translator subscription expired. Got a new subscription. Turned the translator back on and ran into lots of error. So I disabled the translator for now. Not sure what’s going on, however, since we followed the exact steps to enable the translator.
