I went by at 12:45 today and it was empty. There were 3 cars and I know that one of the cars out front is a workers ride. I feel bad. It seems like they are trying to get better but it doesn’t seem to be working. For comparison, the mediocre MJs down in Middletown had a full parking lot.
While the status quo at Peter’s remains the same (to my knowledge), a brand spankin’ new sign for the old Holmdel Sports Bar has gone up under Peter’s signage.
My only memories of this bar were having to walk through it to use the bathroom when dining at Ruby Palace. Both were out of business long before I was of drinking age. I do remember hearing some pretty shady stories about it back in the day.
So, my question is, has the Holmdel Sports Bar returned, or is the sign just being used to show they have a bar?
The bar used to be in a separate room at the left side of the building. Completely closed off. Not sure if they were two tenants in the same building back when it was Ruby Palace or same owners.

Funny you bring this up, from what I recall the “rumor” was they ran an Asian prostitution ring out of the bar/hotel back in the day. I’m literally talking about 20+ years ago, but that was the only thing I had ever heard / known about the place.
