Your Favorite Ways with Chuck Roast and Short Ribs

Diners are skipping restaurants and making more meals at home as inflation...

We stopped dining out thanks to the pandemic and haven’t resumed. Takeout is once or twice a month, almost always with an eye to having multiple meals from the leftovers. (Pre-pandemic we dined out weekly and also enjoyed takeout, while budgeting ourselves for the majority of meals being made by us.) While I have noticed price increases at restaurants, I am unsure how much that guides our ordering. I’m sure there’s a subliminal component.

What entres do you prefer at a restaurant-even when you prepare them well at home?

For me, that includes most pasta dishes, steaks, and many preparations with chicken. Doing it at home would spoil the experience at the restaurant for me. I’d always be comparing and complaining–or facing the reality that my home version wasn’t as good as I thought. Ray

Really informative article from The NY Times about the rising cost of dining out at a nice restaurant. Surprising to see that the cost of dinner out in Charlotte is what a dinner out in NYC can be. Reading the comments always provides a chuckle in how clueless some people can be.
