Your Best/Favorite Lamb Rib Rack Preps?

Turns out it’s a moot point. Today was the cryovac “use-by or freeze-by” date. I opened them and holy schitt what a foul smell.

So, I wasted $60+ dollars on these and they couldn’t even make it to the sell-by date (and they were under constant refrigeration - the Aldi is only 5 mins from my home).

No way to prove anything, of course, as I don’t ordinarly keep receipts.

But I’ve been re-thinking my relationship with Aldi for a while. Their onions generally rot within a week, their scallions and celery not much better. The carrots and garlic tend to have a normal shelf-life, though.

Sorry to hear that. Given that the store is close, though, I would be tempted to bag it up and take it back and let them have a sniff. They may surprise you. All you have to lose is a little time and just a smidge more hassle.

Thanks Steve. That and trying to find a manager. I don’t know about Aldi overall, but this one is run on a shoestring and some hope. Sometimes there’s a manager around.

Then again, I’m not sure I want to tote around a bunch of rancid meat…

Maybe I’ll just take the labels in and explain what happened and see if I get any bites. It’s worth a shot. I am a pretty common face in that store, so hopefully they won’t think I’m scamming them.
