apologies, my brother changed his plans and will be staying with us this weekend. There is some stuffy stuff we need his help with at our bungalow so unfortunately we won’t be able to join. I was looking forward to the food and company 
I don’t have dates yet but plan to visit the open a couple of days during the first week. Give a shout if you’ll be there, we can meet in flushing for some post-open eats.

I havent kept good track of the state of play, wondering if we could bring our adult daughter along.
I dont know how they are going to seat us - are we going to be able to converse with such a big group?

yes, bring her. With her, we’re back up to 10. I think the tables are long rectangles, but we can move around somewhat &/or position ourseves to talk to those we dont see regularly.
I am back stateside, so you’re all gonna see me tomorrow, like it or not!

We might be going to the Quals on Wed & have tickets for Opening Day the following Monday.
So, cute story, I dislocated my hip (third time). I’m at NY Presbyterian Downtown waiting for x-rays. I still might make it tomorrow, but if not, that’s why.
I’m not in a good mood.
Okay, I definitely am not going to make it tonight. I’m really sorry. I’m still in the hospital and not feeling very well. I’ll miss you all.

Ugh. So sorry to hear. Good and speedy recovery to you (though I do want to hear about all these dislocations sometime… I broke or dislocated so many bones myself when I was younger that my mother must have had a frequent flyer card at the orthopedic clinic).
