What are they??
If you are referring to the Norwegian Blue wings then you need to watch this first:
I will participate here if you promise to stop pluralizing words with an apostrophe.
Okâs!
LOL! (To this reply, the website told me that my body was invalid.)
Iâll talk to Sampson about that there shouldnât be any body shaming on this site or any for that matter.
At least he didnât write âWhere are my NJ Peepâs at?â
{{sigh}}
And now for something completely different:
Parrotâs wingâs in sauce. Whoâs had them?
Dear NoJr.,
As a former English teacher, the misuse of the apostrophe bugs the heck out of me! So, here are the simple rules:
An apostrophe is never used with plurals.
The apostrophe is used for contractions and for possessives.*
*One exception: its (no apostrophe) = belonging to it.
For plural possessives, the apostrophe goes after the âs.â Example: two boysâ hats
Follow these rules and your posts will be apostrophe perfect!
Class dismissed!
I had a roomie in college who couldnât figure out the use of apostrophes. She would type her paper (yep, no laptops back in the day) and hand it to me to âapostrophizeâ in black pen. She was from NJ too. Maybe NJ had cut back on punctuation education?
Based on what I see on-line, itâs definitely not a NJ-only problem.
I hate when people say âI went to go see a movie.â Really - went to go?
I tried for a apostrophe catastrophe trifecta in the parrotâs wingâs post, but on further reflection it is perhaps only a dooblay.

How about when you seeâs me making a mistake you just sign on and fix it for your old pal!?!?!
Disclosure: No that is not really my password! (And Iâm just kidding, but thank you for the lesson. I barely made it out of high school and have no further formal education, one of my larger regrets in life is not having taken my education more seriously. Thanks again, Iâll bush up on it.)
Punctuation education led MY brain to Conjunction JunctionâŚwhatâs your function? #Anyone??
How do you feel about dangling modifiers?
(Apologies, but I couldnât resist.)
