What's on your mind? (2025) - good way to start... even if a bit early... :-)

We had freezing rain starting in the wee hours, so schools and the university classes are delayed — late start for my PIC

Stuff’s supposed to melt early afternoon, however, so we should be able to make it to the encore showing of CAT VIDEO FEST tonight

THAT sounds like fun! YouTube was made for funny cat videos!

I missed it last year cuz we were already in Philly. Dranks with the ladies afterwards! Been a hot minute

Looks like it was held in 4 locations in the Boston area in 2024. Will have to try and remember to look for 2025 showings!

Same here, although my area is predicted to get ~2". While a lot of schools north and west of us called today off last night, my town and the school I work for a couple towns over, waited until 5:04am… four minutes after I had decided to get up, figuring the powers that be had decided they didn’t care what the return trip home would be like as long as we could get in (happens entirely too often). I would have minded less if I hadn’t already been awake since about 3:30am for no particular reason (went to bed at 10:30).

UGH - I hate the “no sleep” nights. I’m often waking up around 5, but I can doze until maybe 5:30 (my alarm goes off at 6).

BUT at least they called it off at 5:04 a.m.

Amen, sister! And their spray or snowload dump lands right in your field of vision. Smart choice, stay home and stay alive, or at least retanin your sanity.

I covered up your post so my duo wouldn’t read about the video - because then they’d want to see it.

This was going to be my exact comment. I, like @mig describes themself, would have made way more cake than would be actually needed. In this case I would make damn sure I made just barely, or maybe not quite, enough.

Yeah but then the guy with the red stapler fetish, well, he doesn’t get any cake, and gets mad and sets the building on fire.

I love that movie.

Me, too.

Slightly behind The Shawshank Redemption, it’s the number two that I will stop on, no matter where it is timewise, if I’m flipping channels bored.

After 35 years in corporate America, it kind of resonates. I’ve never had a clueless jerk like Lundberg as a boss, but I did have one frighteningly competent jerk as a boss. That’s a bad combo.

I almost left the company because of him until I learned to start punching back, hard. And forbid him to contact my employees directly (luckily we were in disparate locations) because I didn’t want talent to walk off because of that jerk.

YIKES!! I may have to rethink my advice.

Same, kitty.

Same.

I only care because it’s an excuse to make wings and eat crappy highly processed foods that I will regret for a couple of days.

Oh, and beer.

Moved the last of mom’s stuff out of her apartment today. Glad to have had help from a cousin.

Took this picture from our car window along the way.

Back from the party. I took lots of Tupperware for myself to bring home leftovers, and my friend slipped a Benjamin Into my pocket for my troubles. All is right.
