Same here, although my area is predicted to get ~2". While a lot of schools north and west of us called today off last night, my town and the school I work for a couple towns over, waited until 5:04am… four minutes after I had decided to get up, figuring the powers that be had decided they didn’t care what the return trip home would be like as long as we could get in (happens entirely too often). I would have minded less if I hadn’t already been awake since about 3:30am for no particular reason (went to bed at 10:30).
Amen, sister! And their spray or snowload dump lands right in your field of vision. Smart choice, stay home and stay alive, or at least retanin your sanity.
This was going to be my exact comment. I, like @mig describes themself, would have made way more cake than would be actually needed. In this case I would make damn sure I made just barely, or maybe not quite, enough.

Me, too.
Slightly behind The Shawshank Redemption, it’s the number two that I will stop on, no matter where it is timewise, if I’m flipping channels bored.
After 35 years in corporate America, it kind of resonates. I’ve never had a clueless jerk like Lundberg as a boss, but I did have one frighteningly competent jerk as a boss. That’s a bad combo.
I almost left the company because of him until I learned to start punching back, hard. And forbid him to contact my employees directly (luckily we were in disparate locations) because I didn’t want talent to walk off because of that jerk.
Back from the party. I took lots of Tupperware for myself to bring home leftovers, and my friend slipped a Benjamin Into my pocket for my troubles. All is right.
